ELIJAH WOOD (John Brinnin) is an award-winning American actor and film producer widely known for his role of Frodo Baggins in Peter Jackson's blockbuster Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001 and its prequel The Hobbit (2012). In the wake of the first movie's success, he won Best Actor for the role at the Empire Awards in 2002. Critically acclaimed as a child actor, Wood has enjoyed a varied career including roles in Ang Lee’s The Ice Storm (1997); The Faculty (1998); Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) and Sin City (2005). In 2006 he provided voice work for the award-winning animated musical Happy Feet and, a few years later, its sequel, Happy Feet Two (2011). In 2010, Wood co-founded The Woodshed, a production company that promotes horror films; the company was later rebranded as SpecteVision. Since 2011, Wood has starred in FX's dark comedy, Wilfred for which he's been nominated for Best Actor at both the Satellite and Online Film & Television Awards.
